Davis Lounge Chair

In the world of wood working, chairs are notorious to be particularly difficult. To design, one must think of many things, like dimensions, ergonomics, order of operations, ect… Needless to say, there were many iterations for this chair.

The Davis Lounge chair is a culmination of parts I enjoyed form different chairs. It shares similar dimensions and ergonomcis to Sean Boyd’s Glenn lounge chair and a sling leather seat back, much like Fernweh’s Original lounge chair. Going through many ideas and looking for inspiration, I felt as though many loung chairs were missing one thing: a place to rest a drink… With these in mind, I set out on creating my very own design.
